Welcome to Learning for EAL/D Communities
Our school’s community has an increasingly diverse range of culture, with students and their families coming from all around the world and bringing with them a diverse range of dialects and languages as well as cultural practices and knowledge.
Many students at our school are learning English as an additional language, this website has been developed to provide students, parents, teachers, proffessional staff and members of our school’s wider community with tools and resources to help enhance second language learners and their families to success both in and outside of the classroom.

As a school we aim to provide each student with access to a wide range of resources in a safe and supportive environment.
Our aim to to meet the Queensland Government, Department of Education’s “Inclusive Education Policy” requirements which are as follows:
provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students to attend school
provide each student with access and opportunity to participate in a high-quality education and fully engage in the curriculum along-side their similar-aged peers
provide a sage and supportive environment, free from bullying, discrimination and harassment

Inclusive Education Policy
The Queensland ‘Inclusive Education Policy’ out lines inclusion in schools as:

- “Students experience inclusive education when they can access and fully participate in learning, alongside their similar-aged peers, supported by reasonable adjustments and teaching strategies tailored to meet their individual needs.
